Of Lake Park passed away Friday, May 26, 2006 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Mr. Ray was born June 2, 1928, in Lee, Florida to the late Elias and Effie Rowell Ray. He served in the United State Marine Corp. He retired from the Langdale Company in 1994 after 38 ½ years of service. He was a member of First Church of Nazarene and the 168 Hunting Club where he enjoyed spending time in the outdoors and fellowshipping with his friends.

A number of nieces and nephews

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, May 28, 2006 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Fellowship Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2006 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of South Georgia, 205 Woodrow Wilson Drive, Valdosta, GA. 31602.
