Karen Teems- 56
of Lake Park, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born to Rose Gaskins (McLeod) and the late Lawton L. Gaskins on February 8, 1969, in Valdosta, Georgia. Karen was a strong-willed, compassionate soul with a heart full of love for those around her. Her love for the outdoors was matched only by her passion for cruises. Above all, Karen adored her husband, David, and cherished every moment spent with her grandbabies. She had a special place in her heart for adventure, enjoying long rides through river bottoms on her side-by-side. At her lake house, you could often find her sitting on the porch, enjoying the serene view and peaceful moments. Karen had an unwavering love for the Florida Gators, proudly cheering them on through every season. And when it came to shopping, she knew how to find a bargain, often hunting for treasures in clearance racks and the aisles of Goodwill, where she'd always discover something unique. Along with her father, Lawton L. Gaskins, she is preceded in death by her grandmothers, Annie J. McLeod and Audrey Gaskins; and grandfathers, Alvin McLeod Sr. and Lawton H. Gaskins. Survivors include her loving husband of 24 years, David Teems; mother, Rose Gaskins of Valdosta, Georgia; children: Ashley Davis (Matthew), April Hodges (Casey), Joshua Teems (Sierrah), Stanley Evans (Katie), and Jordyn Teems Adams, all of Lake Park, Georgia; sisters: Michelle Chance (Timmy) of Valdosta, Georgia, and Tamatha Hines (Terry) of Naylor, Georgia; grandchildren: Anna Hodges, Lawton Jones, Brooke Bennett, Leanna Evans, Jackson Jones, Karley Bennett, Bentley Evans, CJ Hodges, Waylon Raulerson, Graice Evans, Kyilann Adams, Rhemi Raulerson, and Laramie Teems; great-grandchild, Cashton Rock; and special cousin, Teresa Pierce (Wendell) of Dasher, Georgia.
