Of Valdosta passed away Friday night, March 28, 2014 at the Langdale Hospice House after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born February 13, 1963 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Kenneth and Shirley Ann Sitko Morawski of Punta Gorda, FL. She was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ. She worked in the food service industry for many years but most recently with the Wooden Nickel Pub as the manager and waitress. Kari loved life, she enjoyed laying on the beach, gardening and cooking. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gregory P. Holm, Sr.
Along with her parents, she is survived by her Son, Greg P. Holm, Jr., Valdosta, GA; Fiancé, Steve Hendley, Valdosta, GA; Sister & Brother-in-law, Laurie Ann & Joe Nickelson, Michigan; Brother & Sister-in-law, Todd M. & Kristi Morawski, Michigan; Father-in-law & Mother-in-law, Lambert E. & Kathryn Holm, Valdosta, GA; Sister-in-law & Brother-in-law, Kim & Randy Williams, Valdosta, GA; Brother-in-law, Jeff Holm, Valdosta, GA; Brother-in-law & Sister-in-law, Lambert & Tiffanie Holm, Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Devoted Friend, Lori Martin, Ohio and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services. The family asks that in lieu of flowers to please make donations to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation.
