Kathryn Mason, 66, passed away at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital on January 5, 2022 after a lengthy illness. She was born in Savannah, GA to Stuart Morgan Brown and Florence Amelia Brown on October 10, 1955.
Kathryn was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to fish and was passionate about cooking.
Devoted Christian and 20+ year member of Gateway Baptist Church, Valdosta, GA.
She was an active member of the Eastern Star, Valdosta- Chapter 244.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Stuart Morgan Brown and Florence Amelia Brown, one sister and brother in law, Anne and Jay Mullis, and a niece, Lisa Fender.
Kathryn is survived by her devoted husband of 37 years, Retired Tech Sargent Harold H. Mason Jr. (Herb), two daughters and sons-in-law, Leslie and Michael Bath, Laura & Jason Pere, one son, H.H Mason III, and her beloved granddaughter, Shelby Watson. Also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Margo and David Wilson, and one brother, Joseph W. Brown. Surviving nephews include Kenneth Mullis, Paul Mullis, Matthew Owens, Mark Owens and Joseph Brown. Also, there are many grand nieces and nephews that she loved very much.
Kathryn will be dearly missed until we join her again in Heaven. She was truly a remarkable woman who sacrificed so much to raise her children and support her husband. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 8, 2022 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. A private interment for family will follow at a later date.
