Of Ray City, GA passed away Sunday, October 23, 2016 in Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. He was born on December 26, 1954 in Lakeland, GA to Heywood Cook and Mavis Exum. Kendall worked in law enforcement for 33 years. Twenty of those years were spent at Lowndes County Sheriff's Office. Kendall loved his family and his favorite past time was spoiling his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his Father, Heywood Cook and Brother, Tommy Heywood.
Survivors Include: Wife, Donna Cook of Ray City, GA; Children: Thomas Kendall Cook, Jr. Julie of Ray City, GA; Kimberly Green Jaymie of Nashville, GA; Randy Wilkes Tiffany of Chattanooga, TN; Rome Wilkes Brooke of Jacksonville, FL.
Grandchildren: Hanna Bennett, Loa Wilkes, Hunter Cook, Colton Wilkes, Trey Wilkes, Tyler Green, Hannah Green, Staci Arell, and Erica Jones.
As per keeping with the wishes of Sgt. Cook, he will be cremated and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00A.M. in Southside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church. The family requests in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Sheriffs Boys Ranch P.O. BOX 1000 Stockbridge, GA 30281 or the American Heart Association P.O. Box 840692 Dallas, TX 75284-0692 in honor of Sgt. Cook.
