Kenneth E. Burkhalter –73

Of Valdosta passed away early Thursday morning June 23, 2005 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born January 15, 1932 in Lanier County to the late Carl Burkhalter and Alene Courson Myers. He graduated from Lanier County High School. Mr. Burkhalter retired in 1997 from PCA after 43 years of service. He was a member of West End Presbyterian Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling with the Archery Association of America and bowling with the Church Leagues.

2 Great Grandchildren: Jadon Evans & Corbin Evans

Funeral services were held at 11:00 AM Saturday June 25, 2005 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with the Rev. John Akers officiating. Burial followed in Riverview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of South Georgia, 205 Woodrow Wilson, Valdosta, GA. 31602 or The Humane Society, P.O. Box 5323, Valdosta, GA. 31603
