Kevin Keith Hart

Kevin Keith Hart, age 69, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was born in St. Augustine on November 7, 1956, to John and Rachel Hart (Foster).

Kevin proudly served as a correctional officer with the Valdosta State Prison for many years, dedicating his life to a career that required strength, courage, and compassion. He was respected for his hardworking nature, quiet dependability, and the care he showed to those around him. Kevin’s steady presence and kind heart left a lasting impression on his coworkers, friends, and family, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rachel Hart; his brothers, Dennis Hart and Billy Hart; his sister, Sherry Quick; and his mother- and father-in-law, Linda Bass and Gene Pringle.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Tammy Hart of Hahira, Georgia; his daughter, Rachella Price (Stephan) of Panama City; his son, Travis Hart (Heather Johnson) of Hahira, Georgia; and his three cherished grandchildren, Lexi Hart, Emma Price, and Sadie Price. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A church service will be held at Morningside Baptist Church on May 16, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
