Kitty Rider LaPere - 55
Of Valdosta passed away Wednesday January 21, 2004 in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Barwick, GA. and had lived most of her life in Valdosta. Mrs. LaPere graduated from Valdosta State College with a Master Degree in Special Education. After graduation she worked for the Lowndes County School System in the Special Education Department until her retirement. During her teaching career she received the Teacher of the Year Award. She was attending Cherry Creek Baptist Church.
