Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family and friends who dearly loved her. She was born in Valdosta, GA on September 14, 1981 to Daniel Bryan Strickland and to Natasha Mathews Shaw. She was a teacher at Carpenter's Kids Pre-School and attended New Covenant Church. Kristen was an artist and she loved to paint. She also enjoyed camping and taking care of her gardens. Kristen was a loving, caring mother, wife, daughter, friend and she valued family above all. She cared for others willingly with all of her heart. "Aunt Kiki" cherished each and every one of her nieces and nephews in their own special way.

You may not have answers to WHY or HOW but if you believe and have a heart for God you will never go without things you need. The path may be rough but the lessons you learn along the way will bring you closer to GOD. Thank him for the all the blessings in your life and all those blessings you have yet to receive. ï"

As per her wishes her body will be donated to the University of Florida for study in cancer research in hopes to help others. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
