Of Valdosta passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014 morning in Fellowship Nursing home. She was born May 28, 1929 in Mineola, GA to the late Walter & Marian Folsom Newman. Ms. Newman worked as a volunteer for Hospice of South Georgia for numerous years before her health declined and was a member of Westside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Jordan Newman, Sisters, Dorothy Holton, Corine Stone, and a Brother Charlene Simpson

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00P.M. Monday, September 22, 2014 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Dr. Ernie Jones and Dr. Tom Studstill officiating burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 4:00 to 6:00P.M. at the funeral home.
