Laurie Lynne Paterson – 50

Of Valdosta passed away Monday November 29, 2004 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born on July 16, 1954 in Flint, MI and had lived in Lowndes County most of her life. She graduated from Valdosta State University in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing. After graduation she worked as a Registered Nurse at South Georgia Medical Center. In 1991 she entered Mercer University Law School where she received a Jurisdoctorate. She practiced law in Valdosta for 8 years and then attended the University of Georgia where she received a Master of Laws. Upon graduation she became a professor at Valdosta State University. Her mother, Laine Light Reichard, preceded Mrs. Paterson in death.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday December 1, 2004 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services. As per Laurie’s wishes no formal visitation was held.
