Of Valdosta, GA formerly of Lakeland, GA passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 in Palms, California from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Clint was born in Valdosta on February 9, 1995 to Jesse Gordon Smith and Debbie Lanett Fender Huff. Three days after graduation from Lowndes High School on May 25, 2013, Clint began one of his life's dreams by joining the USMC. He was stationed with the 3rd Battalion 7th Marines at 29 Palms. Clint received a Sharp Shooter award. Clint enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Calvin Fender, grandmother, Jerranell Lehman Lightsey, and uncle, Jason Fender.
Survivors include his Father, Jesse Smith of Valdosta, GA; Mother & Step father, Debbie & Terry L. Huff of Ray City, GA; Sister, Amara Huff of Ray City, GA; Grandmother, Dorothy Fender of Lakeland, GA; Grandfather, David S. Lightsey of Lakeland, GA, Maternal Aunts & Uncles, Calvin F. & Tammy Fender of Lakeland, GA, Hayward Fender of Tallahassee, FL, Angie Fender of Lakeland, GA; Paternal Aunt & Uncles, James O. Smith of Valdosta, GA, Callie & Glenn Moore of Valdosta, GA; Great Grandmother, Lucy Lehman of Valdosta, GA, Cousins, Kala, Josh, Cody, Jacob, & Autumn Fender, Caleb, Gabe Moore, Sarah Smith, and several extended family members.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 13, 2014 at 11:00 at Southside Baptist Church with burial to follow at Fender Cemetery where full military honors will be given.
