Of Ray City, passed away Thursday evening, August 6, 2009 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born in Berrien County, Georgia to the late Ted Sylvester and Lucille Harpe Fender. He loved to fish and worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Truck Driver for many years.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 10, 2009 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
