Of Lakeland, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in the Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta after a brief illness. She was born December 15, 1927 in Brooks County to the late Charlie Jefferson and Susie Elizabeth Morrell Monk. She was a housewife and Baptist by faith. Proceeded in death by her husband James Lester Chauncey, Sr., two daughters, Myrtle Lee Exum and Ruby Lee Bentley, and a sister Lois Monk.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday July 17, 2009 in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following in Greenlawn Cemetery in Lakeland, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, July 16, 2009 from 6-8 p.m.
