Leilani Futch

March 30, 1941 — January 2, 2023

Leilani Futch, 81, of Valdosta, GA passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 at home with her daughter by her side. Leilani was born on March 30, 1941 in Honolulu, HI.

Heaven gained a precious angel. God called his servant home as her reward for her faithful service to him. Medicine will say she had Alzheimer's but it was evident that Alzheimer's did not have a hold on her. What truly lived in her heart lived forever. Her ability to share her faith was everlasting until the end. She had fought the good fight, finished the race, kept the faith and has been made brand new in the presence of her Savior. "Blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what had been spoken to her by the Lord." Luke 1:45. Complications may have made her life more challenging but she rode it out with such humble service, courage and amazing strength.

God always knows what we need before we need it. He knew we would need each of you for different reasons in this journey. Our heart felt thanks to each of you for how you touched our lives. Whether by care provided, words of encouragement, or the gift of time spent praying, we have felt it and been uplifted by it. More importantly, God sees the heart you shared and the skills He equipped you with used mightily. You each in your own way have made this journey bearable. Bless each of you always for the loving care you constantly provided to mom and working to give her the best days possible. You made her smile, you made her laugh, you comforted, you kept her safe, and you allowed us peace of mind in our absence. We could not have done this without each of you.

To our care giver angels; Janie, Jasmine, Val, Angela, Michelle, and Rhonda. Thank you, your hearts are golden.

To our Pruitt Hospice Care Team; Shaletta, Lauren, Carrie, Arlene, Tommy, Carol, Felicia, Harold, Kevin, and Jade, Thank you and bless each and every one of you for answering the calling on your life. You are where you need to be.

In lieu of flowers, if you wish, you may send donations in Leilani's honor to the Pruitt Cares Foundation. This foundation assists with other hospice families as well as assisting Pruitt employees in their time of need.
