Passed away Wednesday morning, January 15, 2014 in the Fellowship Home after a brief illness. She was born September 18, 1927 in Woodsfield, OH to the late Henderson "Haud" and Pearl Thomas Hendrix. She was one of nine children. She married Clifford Stanford in 1949 and they were married 63 years till his passing in August 2012. They lived most of their life in Wooster, OH until Clifford retired and they made a home in Eustis, FL and then later moved to Valdosta, GA.
Mrs. Stanford is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Harold "Bud" & Jeanne Stanford of Valdosta, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Shirley & Mike Dwyre of Lakeland, FL; grandchildren, Britain Riley of Tallahassee, FL; Krissy Garner of Riverton, UT; Dan Dwyre of Lakeland, FL; Jason Claus of Gainesville, FL; Breanne Wood of Dallas, GA, and 4 Great Grandchildren: Jahlen, Jordan, Bryn and Bryle.
As per her wishes, Mrs. Stanford will be cremated and will be placed next to her husband in Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to your local SPCA/Humane Society in her name. Sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com .
