In Loving Memory of Leo Joseph Betlow Jr.
It is with heaviest hearts that we announce the passing of Leo Betlow, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend. A proud AirForce veteran, master carpenter, and general contractor, Leo lived a life marked by dedication, kindness, and an unwavering commitment to helping his family and others.
Leo was a faithful Roman Catholic man, known for his perfectionist nature and his warm, generous spirit. He made everyone feel special, always ready with a kind word and a helping hand. Whether he was enjoying a cup of coffee, the thrill of fast cars and motorcycles, or the simple pleasures of life, his presence was a constant source of joy and comfort to those around him.
A true patriot, Leo believed deeply in America and the freedoms She represents. Though he embraced his life as a "southerner," his love for bagels, real pizza, and his New Jersey family remained steadfast. His roots and family in New Jersey were well-known and cherished by all who knew him.
Valdosta and New Jersey have lost not only a skilled craftsman but one of its most ethical and faithful humans on this Earth. Leo’s impact on the community and the lives he touched will never be forgotten. His legacy of kindness, integrity, and patriotism will continue to inspire us all.
He is predeceased by our amazing master Carpenter and Masonry dad, Leo Joseph Betlow, Sr. and survived by his equally amazing mother, momma, mommy Olga Musarra Betlow; siblings Marie Betlow-Jozowski and her husband Joseph E. Jozowski, Olga Marie Kaphan, Joseph Leo Betlow, MaryAnn Imroth & husband Howard Rosenblatt, AnnMarie Betlow and Elizabeth (Betty) Betlow; children Joseph Valentino Betlow and Mia Caterina Betlow; nieces and nephews Matthew Imroth, Kyle Imroth, Sarah Jozowski, Taylor Betlow-Peterson, Jessica Kaphan, Rebecca Kaphan, Gavin Mefford Jozowski and numerous extended family.
Though we mourn Leo’s passing, we celebrate the extraordinary life he lived and the countless ways he made the world a better place.
