Leroy Ronald Barrett

Leroy Ronald “Ronnie” Barrett, age 54, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026. He was born in Moultrie, Georgia, on May 7, 1971, to his loving parents, Ronald Leroy Barrett and Peggy Duckworth (Ogletree).

Ronnie was a hardworking and dependable man who took pride in the work he did with his hands. He spent much of his career as a septic tank installer, working alongside Bobby Adkins, where he earned a reputation for his dedication, reliability, and strong work ethic. Ronnie approached each day with quiet determination, never shying away from the demands of the job and always seeing tasks through to completion.

Those who knew Ronnie will remember him as someone who valued honest work and simple living. His contributions to his community, though often behind the scenes, made a lasting impact. He will be remembered for his perseverance, his steady presence, and the integrity he brought to everything he did.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Barrett, and his son, Mark Hobgood.

He is survived by his mother, Peggy Duckworth; his sisters, Connie Barrett and Rita Rodriguez; his brothers, James Duckworth (Alana) and Patrick Duckworth (Tammy); his very special girlfriend, Jackie Hedgepeth; his sons, Lee Barrett and Joshua Barrett; his daughter, Tiffany Barrett; and his stepdaughters, Katie Hedgepeth and Keri Hubbard. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
