Lester Smith Bellflowers

Lester Smith Bellflowers, age 82, of Hahira, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2022 at the Lake Haven nursing home in Valdosta, Georgia. Mr. Bellflowers was born on September 1, 1939 to the late Ella Mae Warren Bellflowers and Roy Bellflowers, Sr., in Hahira, Georgia. Lester was known to be the loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather in his family. He was quick witted, a story teller and had a vivid imagination. He worked as a superintendent for the Howard Ray Construction company and was well known for his incredible building skills. Lester was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy “Bullet” Bellflowers and Thomas Bellflowers; three sisters, Nell Ganas, Brenda and Tammy Bellflowers.
Survivors include: his loving wife of sixty-one years, Peggy Spearman Bellflowers, Hahira, GA; daughters, Tina B. Pritchard and husband Larry, Asheboro, NC, Marsha B. Rackley and husband Jerry, Valdosta, GA; son by choice, Mike Spells and wife Tammy, Valdosta, GA; six grandchildren: Jesse Allan Spells, Kasey R. Langford, Amanda N. Daniels, Justin T. Rackley, Dillon Pritchard, and Nikole Pritchard; twelve great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; four brothers: Cecil Bellflowers, Hahira, GA, David Bellflowers and wife Lori, Wilmington, DE, Kenneth Bellflowers and wife Betsy, Hahira, GA, Glenn Bellflowers and wife Cindy, Waycross, GA; three sisters: Kay Linahan, Valdosta, GA, Ann Northcutt and husband Chip, Valdosta, GA, Sheila Black and husband Joe, Duluth, GA; two sisters-in-law; Lanell Bellflowers, and Sandra Bellflowers, both of Hahira, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 O’clock PM, Monday, February 7, 2022 at Abundant Life Church of God, located at 3419 Knights Academy Rd. Valdosta, GA. Family will receive friends, Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 3:00-5:00 PM, Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
