Of Sylvester, Georgia a/k/a "Lester from Sylvester", passed away March 3, 2008, at the home of Lawrence Brooker in Blackshear, Georgia. He was born July 24, 1940 in Wayne County, Georgia to the late Lester Lloyd Brooker, Sr. and Clara Aultman Brooker. He was married to Ranee Brooker of Sylvester, Georgia, formerly Bangkok, Thailand. He attended Calvary Methodist Church in Tifton, Georgia. He is preceded in death by four children, Gary Brooker, J. Lawrence Leon Brooker, Laresa Brooker and Charles Brooker.
He served in The United States Army for 8 years and The United States Air Force 4 years. He lived in Berrien County for 11 years and owned and operated Nashville Color TV. He moved to Worth County in 1981 and was employed by Miller Brewing Company where he later retired in 1996. Lester loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, meeting new people, visiting the elderly, antique cars and playing any instrument and singing the old time songs. Most of all he enjoyed calling his friends and family just to check on you and making your day.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2008 in Long Bridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at the funeral home.
