Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Langdale Hospice House. She was born on July 12, 1913 in Ft. Pierce, FL to the late William Walker. Mrs. Bass was a housewife and attended Morningside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Bass, a daughter, Doris Thomas, and a great grandson, Jeffrey Studstill.
Her survivors include, Daughter: Bernice Stallings Marshall of Sarasota, FL; Grandchildren: Dr. Teresa Jacobs of Homerville, GA; Kitty Steedley of Homerville, GA; Janice Cantrell of Savannah, GA; Roy Stallings of LaGrange, GA; Belinda Saunders of Moultrie, GA; Lesa Kilgore of Moultrie, GA; Chuck Thomas of Moultrie, GA; Jackie Fuller of Moultrie, GA;
Great Grandchildren: John Darsey, Jennifer Studstill, Kelsey Steedley, Cason Steedley, Anna Stallings, Brandon Stallings, Chet Linder, Leah Long, Ashley Saunders, Paula Bryant, Kristy Kilgore, Trenton Rhodes, Judy Rhodes, Justin Thomas, and Shelby Thomas; Great-Great Grandchildren: Zarchary Darsey, Courtney Darsey, Ashlie Linder, Austin Linder, Jordan Williams, Aubrey Long, Abney Thomas, Keaton Long, Savannah Long, Ben Thomas, Autman Bryant, Mya Solovio, Rently Rhodes, and Stella Bryant.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and no formal service will be held. The family will have a private Memorial Service at a later date.
