Lila M. Chauncey, 88, of Troupeville, Ga., passed away early Sunday afternoon November 15, 2009 at her residence after a lengthy illness. She was born April 23, 1921 to the late J.C. and Ora Lee Williams McMillian in Lowndes County, Ga., and had lived in the Lowndes and Brooks County area all her life. She was preceded in death by her brothers Carlyle McMillian and Franklin McMillian and a sister Sue McMillian. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and was Methodist by faith.Survivors include Daughter and Sons-in-Law, Barbara Jimmy Jackson Pike � Quitman, Ga., Lee Jimmy Tillman � Brooks Co. ; Son and Daughter-in- Law, Bill Jane Chauncey, High Point, N.C. 10 Grandchildren, Sonya ChuckMaine, John JudyPike, Donna RandyMerwin, Julie Tillman, Jim Tillman, Amanda Chauncey, Danielle Chauncey; 16 Great Grandchildren; 5 Great Great Grandchildren; a Brother, Harry DorisMcMillan � Baxley, Ga.; a number of Nieces and Nephews; and as she called her her other daughter, Mary Delorge, Brooks County, Ga.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Valdosta, Ga.
