She was born on August 14, 1916 in Franklin County to the late James Monroe & Rozenia Williams McKie and moved to Valdosta in her early teens. She was a member of Forrest Park Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Jones and a daughter, Gwendolyn Lawson.
She is survived by her, Son & Daughters-in-law, James C. "Buddy" & Angie Jones, Valdosta, GA, Walter P. "Buzzy" & Bonnie Jones, Jr., Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-law, Eleanor Faye & Homer Carter, Athens, GA; Several Great, Great Great, and Great Great Great Grandchildren; Son-in-law, Julian Lawson, Hahira, GA; Several Nieces and Nephews
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 14, 2010 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Cat Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at the funeral home.
