Linda Kate Bass

Linda Kate Bass, age 78, of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 17, 2026. She was born on April 8, 1947, in Valdosta, GA to parents Ben Lawson Anderson and Annie Lucile Suggs Anderson. She dedicated her life to the Lord and many years of hard work and commitment as a sewing machine operator at Ithaca, where her skill, precision, and strong work ethic were evident in everything she did. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl Bass, parents and sister, Mary Ann Green.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Tammy Hart (Kevin) of Hahira, GA, Sheila Tyson (Johnny) of Valdosta, GA; son, Ben Pringle (Jeanie) of Hahira, GA; grandchildren, Rachella Price (Stephan) of Panama City, FL, Travis Hart (Heather Johnson) of Hahira, GA, Wayne Wilkes (Darlene) of Pavo, GA, Danielle Wilkes (Bobby Higgs) of Valdosta, GA, Latticha Jarvis (Britt) of Valdosta, GA and Bella Pringle of Hahira, GA; eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; sister, Martha Sue Chaney of Lake Park, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The visitation will be held one hour prior. The burial will be held at 2:00 PM at Mount Paron Primitive Baptist Church cemetery. 1396 MT Paron Church Rd. Alapaha, GA 31622.
