Linda Stubbs Burkhalter- 84
Better known as “Mammie” of Valdosta, Georgia passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home on Thursday, June 6, 2024, with all her family by her side. Mammie was born on August 30, 1939, to the late Thomas Lorraine Stubbs and Robbie Mae Stubbs. She was married to the love of her life, Kenneth E. Burkhalter, for 49 years. To know her was to love her, she was truly an angel on Earth. Mammie loved like no other. She enjoyed going to the mountains with her mother and all her grands, reading her bible, listening to gospel music, and most of all spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Vaughn Stubbs, and sister-in-law, Carolyn Stubbs.
Survivors include daughter, Jenny Youmans (Wade) of Lake Park, Georgia; son, Marty Burkhalter (Cindy) of Lake Park, Georgia; daughter, Sandy Killeen (Mike) of Lake Park, Georgia; grandchildren: Jade Bennett (Terry), Lance Burkhalter (Danielle), Allison Selph (Justin), Levi Youmans (Jessi); Lorraine Burkhalter (Chase), Jordan Williams (David), Katie Hall (Jake); great grandchildren: Jadon Evans (Matt), Corbin Evans, Lawson Youmans, Cason Evans, Tristan Bennett, Macie Burkhalter, Gage Burkhalter, J.D. Burkhalter, Zane Church, Rhett Johnson, Cassidy Selph, Talan Selph, Ryder Selph, John Collins Selph, Pate Williams, Hayes Williams, Shepherd Williams, Brooks Hall, Beau Hall, expecting one great grandchild and one great great grandchild; niece, Vonda Stubbs Hendricks (Steven) of Homerville, Georgia.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 4:00 PM in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Gardens of Valdosta, Georgia.
