Linda Kay Cooper – 76
Of Ray City, Georgia passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 5, 1948 in Nashville, Georgia to the late Pastor William Earl Ellis and Grovie (Soloman) Ellis. She loved to travel and going to her cabin in Tennessee. She enjoyed going to church and was a member of Kings Chapel in Hahira, Georgia. Linda and Pastor James spent four years in Alaska as Missionaries building churches and witnessing. Most of all, she loved her family, especially her grandbabies. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Pastor James Edward Cooper; 3 sisters: Bonnie Segerstrom, Hazel Prentice and Marie Simpson; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John T. Cooper and Lucille Merritt Cooper.
Survivors include her son, James Timothy Cooper (Shannon Dawn) of Ray City, Georgia; daughter, Misty Renee Cooper (Jenna) of Ray City, Georgia; grandchildren: Ashley Miley (Dylan), Amber Benefield (Kamen); great grandchildren: Cooper Ray Miley, Raegan Brooke Miley, Elijah Stephen Benefield, Benjamin Layne Benefield; sister, Barbara Stone (Ronald) of Enigma, Georgia; brother-in-law, Thomas Cooper (Rachel) of Morven, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Glenda Alexander (Jimmy) of Hahira, Georgia and Brenda Faye Cooper; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Beaver Dam Cemetery, Ray City, Georgia. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at
