Linda Sue Wood, 76 of Valdosta, Georgia was released from illness and finished her earthly journey on Sunday, April 2, 2023. She passed away peacefully, in her home, with loved ones at her bedside. Linda was born on February 4, 1947, in Newport News, Virginia to Eva Mae Yager Zott and Richard T. Baker. She was always "up for an adventure". She rode motorcycles, enjoyed R.V.ing and would take a dirt road just to see where it ended up. She never met a stranger and if you did meet her, you would probably call her "friend". Linda loved her family, friends, and animals and one of her greatest joys was being surrounded by them all. She had an amazing faith in God that shaped the way she treated others and her greatest hope was that everyone would come to know and abide in Christ Jesus. Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Rayburn H. Wood, her father, Richard T. Baker and brothers, Gerald W. Baker, and Kurt Zott.
