Linda R. Worth, 69 of Statenville, Georgia died Monday, January 4, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center after a brief illness.
Linda Lurainey Register was born in Homerville, Georgia to Freddie Lou Chauncey and the late Chandler Register, Sr. on September 21, 1951. She was preceded in death by her first husband Royce Ragan Roberts; brother-in-law, Alton Hardee; mother and father-in-law: Vivian and Willie Fred Roberts, Homer and Lola Lee Worth.
Affectionately known as Mrs. Linda to everyone, she was a quiet, kind and gentle spirit who was faithfully dedicated to the Lord, her family, and the Echols County School System where she made many friends and helped many students over the years.
In addition to her mother, survivors include her loving husband of 37 years, Leon Worth of Statenville Georgia; a son, Brent Worth; step children, Ken Worth and wife Kathy, Lori Hess and husband Brian; four sisters, Audrey Hardee, Barbara and Jack Evans, Chandra and Kenny Tutt, Jackie and Wayne Culpepper; two brothers, Chester Register and wife Joyce and Chandler Register, Jr. all of Echols County; Grandchildren: Lee, Josh, Krista, Tyler (Liana), Marley (Corey); Great Grandchildren: Zoey and Kyler; Nephews and Nieces, Stephen and Kim Tutt, James and Jessica Tutt, Caleb Culpepper, Chester Register, Jr., Elizabeth Register, Candacy Register, and four Great nieces and nephews.
Graveside Rites will be held at 3’Oclock Friday, January 8, 2021 at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Mayday, Georgia with Reverend Tyler Carter and Zack Corbett officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in memory of Linda R. Worth to the Echols County Schools Scholarship Fund, P.O. Box 40, Statenville, GA 31648.
