Linda Gail Young

Linda Gail Young – 76 of Valdosta, Georgia passed away on Thursday November 19, 2020 in the South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born on July 26, 1944 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Emma Lou (Ellis) and Ernest Jessie Hairred. Linda retired from K-Mart in the cafeteria after over 20 years of service. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, as well as shopping and eating out. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Dale Hairred and Daryll Hairred.
Survivors include her Husband of 57 years, Dan Young of Valdosta, GA; Sons and Daughter-in-law: Michael Young of Valdosta, GA, Rickey and Shirley Young, Sr. of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: Brittany Wisenbaker (Rex), Rickey Young, Jr. (Naomi), Bridget Young, Hayden Young; Great Grandchildren: Molly-Grace Young, Emma-Kate Wisenbaker, Ren Wisenbaker, Sisters: Vickie Clark of Brunswick, GA, Debbra Murray (Kenneth) of Adel, GA; Brother, Wayne Hairred of Valdosta, GA and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 21, 2020 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial following at Wayfare Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. The Young family is being cared for by the professional and caring staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
