Of Valdosta, passed away late Tuesday evening in Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Bradenton, FL after a lengthy illness. He was born February 11, 1943 in Charleston, WV to the late Lissie Merel & Alice Clematine Samsel Carte. He retired from Eklems Metal Division in Alloy, WV. Mr. Lissie was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church. Along with his parents, Mr. Cartes Brother, Frederick Jenkins Carte precedes him in death

Funeral Services were held Saturday September 23, 2006 at 7:30 P.M. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
