Of Jennings, Fl passed away early Sunday January 16, 2005 in Gainesville, Fl after a brief illness. Mr. Appling was born August 18, 1927 in Fulton County Georgia to the late Arthur and Ruby Appling. He retired from the United States Air Force as a decorated Veteran after 21 years of Service. After retiring from the Military, he began working with the United States Postal Service where he served more than 20 years.

2 Sons and daughter-in-law Eddie & Teresa Appling Valdosta, GA
Jon Appling Jennings, FL
Grandchildren Amy S. & Todd Hunton, Lori-Jon & Andrew Ecker, Tracy Appling and Samantha Appling
Great-Grandchildren Courtney, Logan, Autumn, Sheldon, and Felicity
As per his wishes Mr. Appling was cremated and a private family service was held at a later time
