Logan Birdsong – 86
Of Valdosta, Georgia, Logan Birdsong passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Lakeland Villa’s. He was born on January 20, 1939, in Panama City, Republic of Panama, to the late Logan Hudgens Birdsong Sr. and Elsie Grace Shildt Birdsong.
Logan was a man who lived life with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. Known for telling the same jokes over and over—each time with just as much enthusiasm as the last—he brought smiles and laughter to those around him. His love for the outdoors was evident in the time he cherished fishing, camping, and soaking up the sun at the beach.
He was most proud of his family, and his love for his children was unwavering. Whether he was teaching them how to cast a line, roast the perfect marshmallow, or simply enjoy the moment, Logan made sure they always knew they were his greatest joy.
A passionate car enthusiast, Logan served as President of the South Georgia Classic Car Show for four terms and remained a lifelong member. His dedication to the classic car community was unmatched, and his leadership helped shape it into the thriving event it is today.
Logan was also a man of strong convictions and proudly supported President Donald Trump, always ready to stand firm in what he believed.
Logan’s legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and love—for his family, his community, and the simple things in life that brought him peace and happiness. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Shirley Russell and Col. E. “Brick” Russell.
