Of Lakeland, GA passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at SGMC Lakeland Villa. She was born on December 3, 1924 in Stockton, GA to the late John Matthew North and Rena Register North. She was a member of the Forrest Hill Freewill Church. She was the youngest and the last surviving of seven siblings. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elder James Connell, her brothers, Louie R. North, John W. North, Curtis B. North, Thomas E. North, Dorsey North, and her sister, Oveda Zipperer.

Survivors include her Daughters & Sons-in-Law, Rena & Richard Keene of Homerville, GA, Teresa & Thomas Whiting of Bakersfield, CA; Grandchildren, Stacey Lutz of Homerville, GA, Rosie Martinsen Erik of Homerville, GA, Stephen Miller Ashley of Albuquerque, NM, Emily Miller of Angwin, CA, Adam Whiting of Jacksonville, FL, Nathan Whiting Stephanie of Charleston, SC, Great Grandchildren, Garland Lutz, Duncan Lutz, Rollie Martinsen, Alex Whiting; Sister-in-Law, Ludie North of Valdosta, GA; and several nieces and nephews & extended family members.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00AM in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in Wayfare Cemetery in Echols County, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank a very special niece, Sara Beth Connell, who spent many devoted hours assisting with the care of her Aunt Lois.
