Of Hahira, GA passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 22, 2013 surrounded by family. She was born on November 20, 1928 in Queens Village, NY to the late Louis and Mildred Nelsen Reinertsen. Mrs. Jones lived with her husband for many years in South Florida where they raised their family. She worked for the North Lauderdale Police Department before retiring to Ocala, FL. She and her husband moved to Hahira, GA four years ago. Mrs. Jones was a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church along with her husband. A devoted wife and mother and a loving grandmother, Mrs. Jones touched all who knew her kind and mild spirit.
Her survivors include: Husband of 57 years, Joseph Jones of Hahira, GA; Son & Daughter-in-Law, Steven and Christine Jones of Valdosta, GA; Son, Michael Jones of Deltona, FL; Grandchildren, Erik, Courtney, Elizabeth, and Erin.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and no formal services or visitation will be held.
