Lois Jeannine Thibault - 81
Of Valdosta passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at her residence following a long battle with cancer. She was born July 17, 1935 in Uniontown, Alabama to the late Pool and Lois Pate Woodson. After moving to Valdosta in the 1980’s, she attended Valdosta Tech (now known as Wiregrass) and graduated in September 1986 as an LPN. She worked in Lowndes County and in surrounding counties as an LPN/Caregiver for over 30 years. She felt her calling to be in homecare and found great joy in meeting the needs of the sick and elderly in her care. She was a member of The Journey Church.
Survivors include her Daughter: Charmaine Kersey of Valdosta, GA, Grandsons: Bryan Kersey of Valdosta, GA and Chad Kersey of Georgia along with his fiancé, Ashley Trimm of Florida, and Stepfather: Clyde McRae of Valdosta, GA.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at Riverview Memorial Gardens. No formal visitation will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to the Pearlman Cancer Center, 2501 N. Patterson St., Valdosta, GA 31602 or to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Pineview Drive, Valdosta, GA 31602. Messages of sympathy may be expressed online at www.musicfuneralservices.com . The family is being cared for by the compassionate and caring staff of Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
