Lorelle Lupo Hiers – 99
Of Valdosta, Georgia, passed away on April 13, 2025, at Fellowship–Brookside after a lengthy illness. She was born on February 10, 1926, to the late Tillman Lupo and Agatha Lupo (Griffin) in Omega, Georgia.
She dedicated many years to working at the O&I Bag Plant, where she was known for her strong work ethic and commitment. Alongside her career, she had a deep love for crocheting and quilting, cherished traveling with the Happy Travelers, and embraced life with a spirited sense of adventure. She loved and truly enjoyed cooking for family gatherings—it brought her joy to see everyone together, sharing meals she made with love. She was a lifelong member of Abundant Life Church of God, formerly known as Lee Street Church of God and later as Forest Street Church of God.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Flavis Hiers Sr.; daughter, Gwen Ready; son, Joel Hiers; brother, T.W. Lupo; and granddaughter, Megan Morningstar.

Daughter: Peggy Stauffer of Valdosta, Georgia
Grandchildren: John Ready (Jennifer), Kevin Ready (Camille), Tim Stauffer (Renee), and Matt Stauffer
Great-grandchildren: Jack Ready, Jacob Ready, Eli Stauffer, Liam Ready, Scarlett Stauffer, Chloe Ready, Zoey Bryant, Abigail Bryant, and Alyanna Bryant
Great-great-grandson: Asher
Numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 2:30 PM at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Music Funeral Services, Valdosta.
