Of Lakeland, GA passed away Monday. August 28, 2017 at Lakeland Villa. She was born on May 31, 1931 in Nashville, GA to the late R.L. Cook and Thelma Durrance Cook. She was a nurse for 45 years at Louis Smith Memorial Hospital. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by: Husband, Robert Corbitt; Son, Ben Corbitt; Grandchildren, Stacey Murray King and Blaine Murray; Brother, Leroy Cook; Sister, Ann Laura Clanton.
Survivors include: Daughter & Son-in-law, Janet & Steve Murray of Valdosta, GA; Grandchildren: April & Kelvin Gaines, Sr; Shawn & Casey Corbitt; Great Grandchildren: Brianna Corbitt, Ben Corbitt, Vivi King, Kelvin Gaines, Keanna Gaines; Sister, Hilda Brogdon of Walhalla, SC; A numerous Nieces, Nephews & extended family members.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM in First Baptist Church of Lakeland with burial to follow in Empire Cemetery.
