Louis Edward Lovell

Louis Edward Lovell, age 79, of Ray City, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025. He was born on July 24, 1946, in Clearwater, Florida to his late father, Guy Lovell and mother, Francis Sims Lovell.

He found joy in the simple blessings of life—tending to his garden, faithfully attending church, and spending time with the dogs he dearly loved. His family was the center of his world, and he loved and adored them with his whole heart. With a servant’s spirit, he devoted 50 years of his life working as a CNA at local hospitals, caring for others with compassion and kindness. For 30 years, he was also a licensed barber, cutting the hair of hundreds of people and forming lasting connections along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ann Lovell, Effie Lovell and Ruth Michael; brother and sister in law; Ralph Lovell and Betty Lovell; brother, Arthur Lovell and sister Jewell Riggle.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 50 years, Linda Gayle Lovell of Ray City, GA; daughter Dana Lovell of Ray City, GA; son, Craig Lovell of Waycross, GA; two granddaughters, Kaetlynn Lovell and Keliah Lovell; sister, Janet Johanssen (Cliff) of New Port Richie, FL and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members.

Services will be held at 2:00pm, Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in the Lakeland Chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
