Louise Padgett, 78, of Valdosta, GA passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Gander, Newfoundland, Canada on November 26, 1936 to the late John W. and Eva Genge Brooking. She was a homemaker most all of her life and loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of Forrest Park Church of Christ since 1968. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Denise Okolichany, son, John Padgett and brothers, Robert "Bob" Brooking & Douglas Brooking.

Survivors include: Husband of 53 years: Owen Padgett; Valdosta, GA; Daughter & Son-in-Law, Debra "Debbie" & Tony Dasher; Valdosta, GA; Son-in-law: Ted Okolichany; Lake Park, GA; 4 Grandchildren: Dustin A. Dasher Ashley, Amber Royals Josh, Matthew Okolichany and Meagan Okolichany; Great Grandson: Anthony Shane Dasher; 2 Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Madge & Job Taite, Glovertown, Newfoundland, Canada, Winnifred & Brad Comeau, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada; 4 Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Preston Brooking, Ontario, Canada, John & Jan Brooking, Ontario, Canada, Morris & Lisa Brooking, New Brunswick, Canada, David Brooking, Newfoundland, Canada

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the Forrest Park Church of Christ with burial to follow at Riverview Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of South Georgia, 2263 Riverview Dr. Valdosta, GA 31602.
