Louise Marie Paxton

Louise Marie Paxton – 75 of Lakeland, GA passed away Thursday, June 11, 2026 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born on August 26, 1950, in Galesburg, IL to the late Roy & Mary Louisa (Fentem) Cochran. 

She worked in the Lanier County School System as a paraprofessional, sewing at a factory in Illinois, office work in a lab and cleaning houses. Mrs. Paxton was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Lakeland.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter: Nancy Paxton; son: Scott Paxton; sisters: Sandra Cochran, Marilyn Riney and Evalina Cline.

Survivors Include: Husband of 56 years: Michael Paxton, Lakeland, GA; Daughter: Diana Roberson, Mineola, FL; Son: Jeremy Paxton, Lakeland, Ga; 3 Grandchildren: Hannah, Macy & Lilly; Brother: Allan Cochran, Lakeland, Ga and a number of nieces and nephews.
