Lucious “Sam” Cleghorn – 81
Of Ray City, Georgia passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at his home. He was born on September 14, 1942 in Arp, Georgia to the late Avery Cleghorn and Essie (Mardell Parks) Cleghorn. He worked as a Butcher at Moody Air Force Commissary for many years. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, and was known for being a “snappy” dresser. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by 7 sisters: Ruby Hall, Dora Hall, Mary Harper, Martha Fletcher, Nancy Tribble, Lucile Neisler, Frances Marie Cleghorn and 3 brothers: Avery Cleghorn, Jr., Frank Cleghorn, and Jesse Cleghorn.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Ann Cagle Cleghorn of Ray City, Georgia; daughter, Teresa “Sissy” Farr (Kevin) of Naylor, Georgia; son, Chris Cleghorn (Edie) of Adel, Georgia; grandchildren: Grace Farr, Sarah Farr, Grant Gleghorn; brother, Ed Cleghorn of Richmond Hill, Georgia; sister, Wynell Oliver of Macon, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.
As per his wishes, he will be cremated, and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Music Funeral Services of Lakeland. Kind words and expressions of sympathy can be left for the family at
