Mable June Spencer Ullom 86
Of Hahira, GA. passed away Monday August 9, 2004 she was born on October 23, 1917 in Mannington, West Virginia. She was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Moultrie, GA. She and her husband moved to Takoma Park, MD after their marriage in 1936 where her husband worked as a plumber and June took up nursing at Washington Missionary College now Columbia Union College. After graduating from nursing, she worked at the Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, MD, became a dental assistant, and was Director of Nursing at the 120 bed Valley View Nursing Home in Berkeley Springs, WV that her husband and she built. In 1979, they retired to Fort Myers, FL until 1999 when they moved to Hahira, GA.
Mrs. Ullom was active in her church throughout her entire life-serving on various church boards, giving leadership in organizations, and actively involved with youth. Both she and her husband assisted many students in their educational quest by providing funds, opening up their home, giving moral support and using their talents to help students become educated. She was always smiling and loved to entertain her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles Blaine Ullom 1917-1999.

Eight Great Grandchildren: Nicholas, Matthew, Emma, Kristopher, Andrew, Sandi, Robbie & Ryan.
Funeral services were held, Friday, August 13, 2004, at 10:00 A.M. in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services with Pastor John B. Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the family plot in Ft. Myers, FL. The family is requesting no flowers.
