Of Valdosta, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Heritage Healthcare of Valdosta, GA. She was born on August 17, 1924 in Caraizeo, NM to the late Thomas M and Eugenia Alexander Carr. Ms. Davis worked for over 25 years with the AARP in the tax program department. While working with AARP she received numerous awards and recommendations. She also worked with the Civil Service for 35 years. She was a member and past president of BETA SGMA PHI. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ike N. Davis, Jr., a grandson, Taylor A Davis, and a sister, Margie Putnam.
She is survived by her: Son, Thomas A. Davis, Sr. of Valdosta, GA; Grandson, Thomas A. Davis, Jr. of Crawfordville, FL; Granddaughter, Ashley N Davis of Jacksonville, FL; Niece, Avie Sue Roesche of Fernandina FL; Nephew, Jackie Manucy of Tallahassee, FL; Nephew, Eddie Hagan of Valdosta, GA; And numerous cousins.
As per her wishes she will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 19, 2013 in the Chapel of Music Funeral Services.
