Madison Lee Moore – 78
Of Hahira passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017, at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 25, 1936, in Macon, GA to the late Robert & Ethel (Reese) Moore. He proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked in the insurance industry for over 40 years. He was a member of Hahira United Methodist Church and was a Shriner. Madison loved square dancing, round dancing, traveling and gardening. He was also a longtime baseball umpire. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Ann Chaney, Faye Newberry and Jo McBride.
Survivors Include: Wife, Emily Moore, Hahira, GA; 2 Sons & Daughter-in-laws: Daniel & Tammy Moore, Macon, GA, Terry & Teresa Moore, Adel, Ga; 4 Grandchildren: Stanton Moore, Alley Mac Moore, Dakota Burkett and Kaitlyn Moore; Sister: Myrna McCauley, Valdosta, GA; 2 Brothers & Sister-in-law: Mitchell & Mary Moore, Gallatin, TN and Mike & Nina Moore, Macon, GA.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2017, in the Hahira United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
