Of Valdosta, Georgia passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. Makayla was born on March 27, 1990 to Dana and Carolyn (Lorenz) McVey in Cape Canaveral, Florida. She enjoyed cooking, shooting guns, and especially loved her children.
Survivors include her loving parents, Dana and Carolyn McVey of Palm Coast, Florida; daughters, Khyla and Aaliyah McVey of Valdosta, Georgia; Son, Dashaun Wilson of Valdosta, Georgia; Sisters, Miranda Drake and husband Jody of White Hall, Arkansas, Madison Johnson and husband Brett of Lowell, Indiana and McKenna Mullinax of Valdosta, Georgia; Grandmother, Donna Lorenz of Palm Coast, Florida; along with numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews and friends.
The funeral service for Makayla will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 in the chapel of Music Funeral Services with burial to follow in the McLane's Riverview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 1:00 - 2:00 PM.
