Mamie Varnell Barrentine

Of Ray City, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 in the Berrien Nursing Center after declining health. She was born December 23, 1924 in Tift County, Georgia to the late Jessie R. and Willie Mae Benefield Roberts. She owned and operated the Ray City Diner for many years and she was a member of Zion Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Barrentine; and a grandson, Kevin Tomlinson.
