Marcella Ewelow Tomlinson

Marcella Drewelow Tomlinson – 85
Of Nashville, GA passed away on October 13, 2013 at her residence. She was born in Cadott, Wisconsin to Oswald and Venice Drewelow on May 5, 1928. Her surviving siblings are Marwyn Pete and Marley of Illinios. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Marjorie Keehnen of Spokane, WA and Maryann Weegens of Dakota, IL.
She received her teaching degree at National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois. From there she moved to Portland, Oregon, where she met Edmond P. Tomlinson of Berrien County, GA. They married at Mount Hood, Oregon. He preceded her in death in 2008 after 55 years of marriage.
Marcella enjoyed sewing, knitting, needlework, traveling, and was an avid reader. She especially enjoyed working at the Carrie Dorsey Perry Memorial Library after moving to Nashville, GA.
She is survived by 3 children, Michael Tomlinson, Sandra Phoebe Tomlinson, Gary Tomlinson and wife, Mollie, their children, Darren, Killien, and Corbin. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, and a very special niece, Lisa Wienand of Lena, IL.
Marcella's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Langdale Hospice House for their love and support in helping care for her.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Georgia Chapter Alzheimer's Association, 225 East 2nd St., Tifton, GA 31794 or to Hospice of South Georgia, PO Box 1727, Valdosta, GA 31603.
