Margaret Stalvey

May 19, 1927 — March 14, 2025

Margaret Sirmans Stalvey, 97, of Ray City, Georgia passed away peacefully on March 14, 2025, surrounded by family at her home. She was born to the late Daniel W. and Mamie Fountain Sirmans on May 19, 1927 in Berrien County. She will best be remembered as a woman of faith in the Lord which she shared with so many over the years. Her husband of 59 years, John Leland Stalvey, her children, grands, and many other family members were nourished and supported through her Christian Walk and hours spent in prayer for them. Her church family at First Baptist Church of Ray City benefited from her faith as she worshiped and served with her brothers and sisters in Christ for over 78 years. Countless women received a listening ear and sweet messages about Jesus while she served as their hairdresser for 66 years. We will so miss this special mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who taught us all about the Lord!
Mrs. Stalvey was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Leland Stalvey; great-grandson Daniel Morris; brother, Brocy Sirmans; 3 sisters: Lerine Harris, Victoria Bradley & Clara Sirmans. Survivors include her daughter, Mamie Stalvey; son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Lori Stalvey; daughter-in-law, Donna Sue Stalvey; grandchildren: Leanne (Nick) Morris, Carl (Ashli) Stalvey, Kasey (Mark) Stalvey, Kristin (Mark) Stalvey, Peyton (Meagan) Griffin, Taylor (Austin) Thompson; great-grandchildren: Suanna, David, Saranne and Hannah Morris; John Haven, Autrey, Metts, Altman, and Carlie Stalvey; Sophia, Cannon, and Leighton Griffin; Wade Thompson. She also leaves behind her sister, Edith Mayo, many wonderful nieces and nephews, and friend and caregiver, Karen Corby.
