Margaret Simmons Whited – 74
Of Dupont passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was born in Barney, Georgia on November 23, 1934 to the late William Jenny Bryant Simmons & Annie Jones. Mrs. Whited was a member of the First Assembly of God and was employed by Dowling Bag. She is preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Clifford Whited.
Survivors include: Daughters & Son-in-laws, Bonnie & Jake Terry of Valdosta, GA, Audrey & Don Manac of Dupont, GA; Son & Daughter-in-law, Tony & Cathy Maine of Nashville, GA; Grandchildren: Neil Terry, Eric & Courtney Wilkes, Shane Manac, Brandon Manac & Stephanie Maine; Great-grandchildren, Christopher & Aaron Maine; Sisters & Brothers-in-law:Gene & Ann Bludsworth of Valdosta, GA, Virgil & Catherine Wetherington of Brunswick, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at 3:00P.M. Monday March 16, 2009 at the First Assembly of God 1005 West Gordon Street Valdosta, GA with burial to follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery . Mrs. Whited will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00PM to 5:00PM Sunday, March 15, 2009 at the funeral home.
