Margie Murray Tyre- 81

Of Valdosta passed away Monday, March 27, 2006 in the Fellowship Home after a lengthy illness. She was born on September 21, 1924 in Wayne County, GA to the late Thomas McKinley and Gladys Horne Murray. She grew up in Jesup where she graduated from Jesup High School, married Royce “Bo” Tyre, and raised her children. When her husband retired in 1984, she moved with him to Astor, FL where they enjoyed fishing and traveling. They moved to Valdosta in 2003 to be near their daughter. Shortly after, they joined Pauline Baptist Church where they were well-loved. Margie and Royce celebrated their 60th anniversary on January 15, 2006. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Thomas, Kenneth & Barnard Pee Wee Murray; sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew, Nina, Clifford, Jennifer, Jerald Jones; brother-in-law, Jack Carter; and son-in-law, Joseph W. O’Haire, Jr.

She is survived by her Husband; Royce F. Tyre; children, Royce M. and Carol Tyre of Eagan, MN and Elaine Tyre O’Haire of Valdosta; grandchildren, Jason and Rachel Tyre, Katherine and Eric Larson of Minnesota, Andrew O’Haire and Stephen O’Haire of Valdosta; sisters, Althea Yates of Jesup, Vera Carter of Windemere, Fl; brother, Richard and Janet Murray of Hilton Head, SC; sisters-in-law, Shirley Murray, Barbara Murray and Joyce Murray and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, March 30, 2006 in the Chapel of Rinehart & Sons Funeral Home in Jesup, GA with burial following in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
